He was predeceased by: his parents, Bill McCourry and Helen Clay; his wife Brenda McCourry; and his brother Ricky McCourry. He is survived by: his children, Paul McCourry (Melissa), Mark McCourry (Melissa) and Katina Allen (Wayne); his grandchildren, Ethan Hicks, Tori Pleasant (Sam), Caleb McCourry and Gage McCourry; and his siblings, Susan Human and Jeff (Mike Kelly). He is also survived by several siblings; along with several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Jonesborough Funeral Home (1776 US-11E, Jonesborough, TN 37659). A graveside service was held on Sunday, September 20th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the Maple Lawn Cemetery.
