He was predeceased by: his wife Goldie Sue Matoy; his parents, Fletcher J. Matoy and Bertha Matoy (Miller); and his siblings, Verlin (Hoover), Melvin, Samual Matoy and Maude E. Matoy.
He is survived by: his children, Patrick Matoy of Tellico Plains, Brian Matoy (Jessica) of Tellico Plains, Eddie Ellis of Tellico Plains and Linda Hurst (General) of Frakes, Kentucky.; and his granddaughters, Sadie Matoy, Samantha Collette and Kristie Hurst. He is also survived by nieces, nephews.
