He was predeceased by: his parents, Rexford Melton and Nannie Mae Gilley Melton; and his brothers, Joe Melton and Billy Melton. He is survived by: his wife Ruth Jean Barrett Melton of Thompsons Station; his children, Tony Melton (Julie) of Michigan, Teresa Wilson (Jeff) of Franklin and Tracy Sellers (Paul) of Franklin; and his grandchildren, Josh Melton, Aaron Melton, Sara Williams, Sloane Jacobs, Jacob Sellers, Jordan Wilson, Ryan Wilson, Bowen Sellers, Caleb Williams and Grant Jacobs. He is also survived by 15 Great Grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, July 21st 2025 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Woodbury Funeral Home (504 W Main St, Woodbury, TN 37190). A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 21st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home (504 W Main St, Woodbury, TN 37190). A burial will be held on Monday, July 21st 2025 at the Odom Cemetery.
