He was predeceased by : his parents, Gerald Dwayne and Jo Anne Dunahoo Hunter; and his mother-in-law Mary Nell Cullum. He is survived by : his wife Holly Cullum Hunter; his children, John Grant Hunter and Olivia Grace Slucher (Will); his uncles, Billy Dunahoo (June) of Newbern, Herman Hunter (Charlotte) of Frog Jump and Mike Hunter of Paris, TN; his aunt Maxine Hunter of Milan; his parents-in-law, Frank, Mary Nell Scudder and Buddy Cullum (Marie Russell); his brother-in-law Jay Cullum (Jessica) of Atoka; and his nephews, Waylon and Dayton Cullum.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 10th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Covington Funeral Home (3499 U. S. 51 S, Covington, TN 38019). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, April 10th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
