He was predeceased by: his parents, Woodrow Owen and Christina Owen of Tipton County, TN.; his wife Emma Hudson Owen; his son Richard K. Owen; and his siblings, Bobby Owen, Woody Owen, Edward Owen, Mattie Sue Rushing, Evelyn Byrd and Lexie Cross.
He is survived by: his children, Arnold Owen, Thelma Owen, Pamela R. Johnson, Shirley Owen (Steve Sanderford) and Sherry Cedillo (Jose); and his sister Nell Ray. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.
