She was predeceased by: her parents, Willie B. Hopper, Sr. and Frances May Scott Hopper. She is survived by: her husband Dave Darnell of Tiptonville, Tennessee; her son Joseph Shane Whitson of Tiptonville, Tennessee; and her siblings, Rodney Hopper (Gwen) of St. Francisville, Billy Hopper of Tiptonville, Jeff Hopper of Bowling Green, Kentucky and Cathy Topel (Eddie) of Chicago. She is also survived by "Granny" to her four grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
