He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert Tate and Virginia Bryant Tate; his wife Alma Jean Tate; and his son Garry Tate. He is survived by: his daughter Beverly Griggs (Jeffrey); his grandson Aaron Griggs; and his sister Jeanette Smith.
