He is survived by: his father Doc Layne; his siblings, Mary Ruth King, Elizabeth Wauford, Robert Joe and James Kenneth Layne; his wife Teresa Sue Johnson Layne; his son Robert Jayson Layne; and his niece Linda Floyd. He is also survived by other loving nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Layne Funeral Home, Inc. (32871 TN-108, Gruetli-Laager, TN 37365). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 at the Burkett's Chapel Cemetery.
