She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Murphy and Alberta Murphy (Boree); her grandson Brandon Shrum; and her brother R. E. Murphy. She is survived by: her husband Hiram "Sam" Shrum; her children, Shawn Shrum (Sandy), Crystal Zimmerman (Rusty) and Casey Shrum (Mandy); her grandchildren, Mikel Shrum (Victoria), Courtney Martin (Kyle), Jessica Halstead (Justin), Rachel Meeks (AJ), Ian Shrum (Lillie), Abby Shrum, Christopher Smith (Melynda) and Erica Shrum; her daughter-in-law Paula Tate; and her brother Hillrey Murphy. She is also survived by 12 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Cumberland Funeral Home, Inc. (96 Clair St, Tracy City, TN 37387). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
