He is survived by : his mother Margaret Mathina Smothers of Wynnburg, TN; his wife Sheila Smothers of Trenton, TN; his daughter Kari Clark (Matt) of Hixon, TN; his stepsons, Kenneth Jones of Hornbeak, TN and Brandon Jones of Tiptonville, TN; his sisters, Angela Rivers of Tiptonville, TN and Vickie Cooper (Scott) of Jackson, TN; and his stepgrandchild Hayden Jones.

The family requests that memorials be directed to Wynnburg Baptist Church, 95 Wynnburg-Bluebank Road, Ridgely, TN 38080.
