He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Evans Tharp (Boss) and Lillian Witherspoon Tharp (Nell); and his former wife Sylvia Graves Tharp. He is survived by: his wife Vivian Tharp (Crickett); his daughter Melanie; his stepchildren, Glen Turnage, Roger Turnage and Cindy Parlow (Boone); and his siblings-in-law, Katie Tharp, Geroge Graves (Doris) and Larry Bushart (Brenda). He is also survived by eight step grandchildren and three step great grandsons.
