It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William P. Oakley of Trimble, Tennessee, born in Dyersburg, Tennessee, who passed away on December 9, 2024, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

As we bid farewell to this luminous soul, let his loved ones carry forward the torch of his memory, illuminating the path ahead with the warmth of his love and the brilliance of his spirit. He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. Willie B. Oakley and Dorothy Lee Lambert Oakley; his former wife Pattye Lavene Oakley; his children, Paul Oakley and Michelle Walker; and his sister Sue Hankins.

He is survived by: his wife Peggy J. Miller Oakley of Trimble, Tennessee..

Bill's friendship and his ministry through the years. Bro. Bill told me his Dad passed his evangelist mantle to him from his deathbed. Bro. Bill honored his father by introducing untold numbers of people to JESUS. Bro. Bill leaves a strong JESUS legacy through his Oakley family, who continue to serve many churches. Bro. Bill will be greatly missed!”
