He was predeceased by: his parents, Ophir Thaddeus and Louise Elizabeth Sanders (Sweat); and his siblings, Richard Sanders, Bill Sanders and Jo Doris Bennett.
He is survived by: his wife Diane Sanders (Norquist) of Troy; his children, Brad Sanders of Phoenix, Thad Sanders of Kingston Springs and Nan Tilghman (Skip) of Union City; and his grandchildren, Spencer Sanders, Jack Sanders, Nick Sanders, Kip Tilghman and Wes Tilghman.
