She was predeceased by: her parents, Charlie "Shorty" Shields and Virgie Mae Shields (Elam). She is survived by: her husband Lonnie Matheny of Troy; her stepchildren, Chad Matheny of Yuma, Arizona and Bridgette Matheny of Sugarland, Texas; her siblings, Vickie Rhoades (Kenneth) of Union City and Larry Shields (Nancy) of Bartlett; and her uncle Johnny Elam of Dickson.
