He was predeceased by: his parents, Ligie Morris and Rosie Lee Morris (Knott); and his sister Helen Rose Jones. He is survived by: his children, Jimmy Morris of Obion, Michael Morris (Christy) of Nashville and Kelly Simpson of Trimble; and his brothers, Lee Morris (Shelia) of Troy and Joe Morris of Troy. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; ten great grandchildren.
