He was predeceased by: his parents, Marvin Wesley Johnson and Hessie D. Nix Johnson; his parents-in-law, Joe L. McEwen and Sarah Ann Caldwell McEwen; and his brother-in-law Carl Tibbs.
He is survived by: his wife Nancy McEwen; his children, Heather Johnson Franks (Chad Franks), Shawn Johnson (Jaime Robinson Johnson) and Tara Johnson Burress (Brian Burress); his brother-in-law Bo McEwen (Jeannie) of Troy; and his grandchildren, Ethan Franks of Murfreesboro, Braden Burress, Britton Burress, Bennett Burress of Mt. Juliet, Emma Franks of Murfreesboro, Jenna Kate Johnson and Sadie Jane Johnson of Troy. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Troy Methodist Church or to the Dottie Grace Tibbs Account at First Citizens National Bank.
