He was predeceased by : his parents, Buford Black and Irene Longmire Black; and his siblings, Kathryn Martin, Kelly, James and Tommy.

He is survived by : his siblings, Elizabeth Wendelken, Sue Watson and Bill Black (Larry Myers). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Friday, April 26th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Powell Chapel (2000 Powell Drive 37849). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 26th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, April 26th 2024 at the Lynch-Bethel Cemetery (5928 W Emory Rd, Knoxville, TN 37931).
