He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Guthrie Embry and Kathryn Embry (Purkheiser); his wife Shirley Mae Embry (Critchlow); and his grandson Gregory Andrew Embry. He is survived by: his children, Donald Embry, Jr. (Colleen) of Shelbyville, TN, Susan Ingels (Brian) of Edinburgh and Dave Embry (Tracey) of Midlothian, Virginia.; his grandchildren, Kirk Embry (Kayla), Christopher Ingels, Kelly Ingels, William Embry (Gabrielle) and John Embry (Kylie); and his great grandchildren, Emma Embry, Scarlett Embry, Luke Embry, Emery Ingels and Nora Embry.
