He was predeceased by: his father Tom Ellington; and his grandparents, Earl, Beulah Ellington of Shelbyville, TN, Tom and Katherine Hutcheson of Pikeville, TN..

He is survived by: his mother Virginia Hutcheson Ellington of Tullahoma; his sisters, Gina Bragg (Bingham) and Kimberly Maxon (Michael); and his nieces and nephews, Coleton, Leighton Bragg, Ginny Jones (Baxter), Skye Maxon and Rivers Brown (Chris).

“I am so sorry to hear of Dwight's passing. I worked with him at CSX in Nashville. We were good friends . He moved to Chimney Top Apts because I lived there and we had many good times. We both drove 300zx.. His was white and mine was gold. We lost contact when he moved to work with FedEx and I moved to Jacksonville, Florida to become a train dispatcher. I will always remember that giggle of a laugh he had, along with a great smile. My heart felt condolences .. Jimmy Coogan”
