He was predeceased by: his parents, Onmon Iller and Florence Shoemaker Hise; his wives, Norma Jean Thompson Hise and Jeanette Moore Hise; his son Douglas Eric Hise; his siblings, George Hice, Joe Hice, Tommy Hice, Parker Hise, Kenneth Hise and Dorothy Amaral; his granddaughter Heather Peacock; and his great grandchild Kenny McMillan.
He is survived by: his children, James Larry Hice (Linda) of Murfreesboro, Steven James Hise (Colline) of Zephyrhills, Richard Alan Hise (Kathy) of Tullahoma, Barbara Joan Birdsong of Tullahoma, Jeanette Marie Rader of Shelbyville and Susan Elizabeth Cumming (Albert) of Tullahoma; and his brother Charles Hise (Joann) of Winchester. He is also survived by seventeen grandchildren, twenty-three great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 21st 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Daves-Culbertson Funeral Home (401 N Jackson St, Tullahoma, TN 37388). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 21st 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Wednesday, October 21st 2026 at the Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
