He was predeceased by: his parents, William Jackson and Mattie Bell Ray Bailey; and his siblings, Johnny, Riley, Roger Dale Bailey and Brenda Gail Castleman.

He is survived by: his sons, Jimmy Alan Bailey Jr. and Dakota Wade Bailey; his siblings, Keith Bailey of Lynchburg, Ruth Limbough (Craig) of Tullahoma, Sandra Cyree of Tullahoma, Penny Bailey of Tullahoma, Tina Bailey of Lynchburg and Amy Wilson of Lynchburg; and his friends, Jason of Lynchburg, Joe Charleton of Lynchburg and Billy Brandon of Lynchburg. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial donations be made in his honor to Daves-Culbertson Funeral Home.
