He was predeceased by: his parent A. B. Matlock; and his brother Freeman Matlock. He is survived by: his mother Mavis Medley Matlock of Hillsboro; his wife Sharon Brinkley Matlock of Tullahoma; his children, Brittany Howell of Manchester, Brian Matlock of Manchester and Hannah Woodlee of Decherd; and his grandchildren, Sadie Jo Howell, Riley Howell, Braxton Woodlee and Brinslee Matlock.
