She was predeceased by: her parents, William Thomas Staten and Ona Cleo Painter Staten; her husband Billy Joe Hatley; her siblings, Ken, Bill, Carl Staten, Barbara Staten Taylor and Linda Staten Pierce; and her sons-in-law, Blaine A. Morris and Michael W. Palmertree.
She is survived by: her children, Carmen Morris, Joey Hatley (Holly McKissick) and Regina Palmertree; her siblings, Pat Cox and Jimmy Staten; her grandchildren, Justin Morris (Vilara), Evan Hatley, Stephanie Morris Hobbs (Brient) and Camden Hatley; her great grandchildren, Catie Woodward, Jacob, William, Bradley, Blaine, Karl Morris, Brileigh and JD Hobbs; and her child KinderCare.
