She was predeceased by: her parents, John Lanier Sr. and Golda Pearl Martin Nowlin; her husband Ned Sheffield Holden Jr.; and her siblings, Kenneth "Buster", Sam, Ed, David, Frankie (June Bug Nowlin) and Mamie Ann Crossland.
She is survived by: her children, David Holden (Angela) of Lynchburg, John Holden (Linda Beaty) of Tullahoma, Brad Holden of Winchester, Marie Wyatt (Steven) of Tullahoma and Lea Anna Rittenhouse (Wes) of Tullahoma; and her sisters, Elizabeth Shelton of Manchester and Judy Carter (Lynn) of Manchester. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren and two great, great grandchildren.
