She was predeceased by: her parents, DeWayne Smead and Hazel Smead (Rummel); her husband Arden Fredrick Betts; and her siblings, Mike Smead and Marla Smead.
She is survived by: her children, James Richardson (Tonya) of South Bend, Indiana, Carl Richardson (Tina) of Fairbanks, Alaska and Andrea Carter (Jason) of Elkhart, Indiana.; and her siblings, Donna Joans of Sturgis, Michigan, Penny Coberly of Tullahoma, Tennessee, Chris Brubaker of Texas and Daniel Smead (Glenda) of Elkhart, Indiana.. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
