He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth Leonard and Agnes Faye Kerns (George); his sister Saundra Leigh Booher (Kerns); his parents-in-law, William Douglas Hollifield, Sr. and Ruth Lola Hollifield (Wiseman); and his brothers-in-law, Charles Hollifield, Bill Hollifield, Tommy Hollifield and James R. Hollifield.
He is survived by: his wife Darlene Kerns (Hollifield); his son Bryan Douglas Kerns (Sherrie); his grandchildren, Caleb Bryce Kerns (Brooke) and Katelyn Grace Kerns; and his niece Vicki Boone (Charles).
Visitation was held on Sunday, November 30th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the First Christian Church (307 S Main Ave, Erwin, TN 37650). A celebration of life was held on Sunday, November 30th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location. A committal service was held on Monday, December 1st 2025 at 1:50 PM at the Evergreen Cemetery (1100 7th St, Erwin, TN 37650). A graveside service was held on Monday, December 1st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in Bryce's name to First Christian Church, 307 S Main Ave., Erwin, TN 37650.
