He was predeceased by: his parents, Geneva Day (Johnson) and Roy J. Day; his wife Josephine Day (Wright); his siblings, Marie Day, Helen Peterson, Bernice Edney and Robert Day; and his cousins, Eva and Vinton Banner.
He is survived by: his children, Sherry Day and Charles Day of Unicoi; his siblings, Ella Mae Day of Erwin, Sara Peterson (Dennis) of Erwin and Kenneth Wayne Day (Linda) of Kingsport; his buddy Barney; Lance Hamby.
In lieu of flowers, Floyd requested donations be made in his name to the Erwin branch of American Legion Post 25, PO Box 1194, Erwin, TN 37650; or to your local church to help further God's Kingdom.
