She was predeceased by: her parents, Cecil Shorter and Doris Lockner Shorter; her husband Alvin Casey; her children, Charles Leroy Casey, Rita Faye Casey and Pamela Crawford; her grandsons, Ryan Casey and Craig Smith; her great grandchild Ethan Doughten; her sisters, Thelma Smith and Myrtle Smith; and her daughter-in-law Kim Casey.
She is survived by: her children, Dewayne Casey of Unicoi, William Casey (Bell) of Unicoi, Nina Hensley (Teddy) of Flag Pond, Clarice McNabb of Chattanooga and Viola Williams (Frank) of Telford; and her sister Mary Smith of Erwin. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren, twenty-nine great grandchildren, and seven great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
