He was predeceased by: his parents, Lincoln Bowling and Mildred Bowling (Hardin); his wife Bertie Bowling (McClure); and his son Donald Bass. He is survived by: his children, Jim Bowling of Jackson, Shane Bowling (Nicole) of Friendship, Jeanie Rice (Roger) of Union City, Paula Rice (Scott McAdoo) of Union City, Pam Carroll of Union City, Shelia Parks of Troy and Rainy Pulley (Roger) of Orlando, Florida.; and his siblings, Martha Ellen Himes of Savannah, Linda Bryant of Savannah, Janice Love of Clifton and Randy Bowling of Benton, Kentucky. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, May 22nd 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home (1200 S Miles Ave, Union City, TN 38261). A funeral service was held on Thursday, May 22nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
