He was predeceased by: his parents, Chester Thomas and Thelma Brown Thomas; and his siblings, John, Frank Thomas and Susan Raye Thomas.
He is survived by: his wife June Burden Thomas; and his children, John Thomas (Shari) of Stratford, CT, Jeff Thomas (Valeria) of Jackson, TN and Jill Thomas Pair (Bob) of Maryville, TN. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, and twenty-four great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the Woodland Mills Baptist Church (211 Jones St W, Union City, TN 38261). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
