It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lee Ella Land of Union City, Tennessee, who passed away on September 4, 2025, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Fitzpatrick and Maude Fitzpatrick (Berryman); her siblings, Elvie Underwood, Bertha Nanney, Eva Guthrie, Bernice Johnson, Lonnie Fitzpatrick, R. L. Fitzpatrick and Jerry Fitzpatrick; and her sons-in-law, Mike Nichols and Russell Thompson.
She is survived by: her husband George Edward Land; her children, Karen Christian (Jimmy) of Union City, Sharon Robinson (Bill) of Grapvine, Carla Thompson of Union City, Susan Nichols of Shallowater, Mark Land (Patti) of Memphis, Carl Wagster, Jr. (Nancy) of Gainesville and Georgia; her grandchildren, Greg Thompson (Krystal Hammond), Casey Robinson, Cameron Nichols (Jolene), Megan Newburn (Patrick), Josh Nichols (Jennifer) and Jenna Hall (Mark); her stepgranddaughter Patti Gouger (Chris); her great grandchildren, Kaileigh Cloud, Emily Nichols, Dylan Nichols, Cameron Thompson, Kade Weber, Audrey Newburn, Kurt Nichols and William Newburn; her stepgreat-grandchildren, Emily Gouger, Ryan Gouger and Daniel Gouger; her great grandchild George Hall; and her great great grandchild Reuben Mata. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 9th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home (1200 S Miles Ave, Union City, TN 38261). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, September 9th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
