He was predeceased by: his parents, William Perry Harris and Loneita Joyce Harris (Pate); and his brother John Harris. He is survived by: his sons, Josh Harris of Hornbeak, William Travis Harris of Ohio and Joseph Andrew Harris of Ohio; and his sister Mary of South Memphis.
In an act of love for humanity and a selfless heart, Richard's wish was to donate his body to science.
