He was predeceased by: his parents, Lee Hoyte Hicks and Anna Bess Morris Hicks. He is survived by: his wife Shirley McBride Hicks; his daughters, Paula Hicks of Martin, Tennessee and Lisa Eubank of Martin, Tennessee; and his sisters, Linda Kaye Venable (Wesley) of Saline, LA and Donna Kane (Pete) of Portland, OR.. He is also survived by four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 8th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the White-Ranson Funeral Home (212 W Washington Ave, Union City, TN 38281). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, September 8th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
