He was predeceased by: his parents, Ben James and Irene Vinyard James; his wife Maxine James (Glidewell); his son-in-law Leon Noland; and his sisters, Peggy Bumpus and Ruth Long.
He is survived by: his daughters, Cathy James of Santa Fe and Connie (David Prince). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be made to the Alzheimer's Association in memory of Roy B James.
