He was predeceased by: his parents, James A. Hunter and Sarah Hunter (Schembra); and his siblings, Elizabeth Jeanette Cartwright, Louise Walker, Ruby Mae Bondurant, Mildred Higgins, Margie Hunter, Thomas J. Hunter, Alfred "Buddy" Hunter and AJ Hunter.
He is survived by: his children, Bobby J. Hunter (Hannah) of South Fulton and Surina Jones (John) of Bells; his granddaughter Avery Hunter of Union City; and his siblings, Mary J. Fowler of Union City, Charlotte Willett of Union City, Louis Hunter of Kentucky, Loyd Hunter, Rickey Hunter of Arkansas and Freddie Hunter. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 3rd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home (1200 S Miles Ave, Union City, TN 38261).
