He was predeceased by: his parents, Oral Maggard and Cassie Maggard (Williston); his wife Betty Maggard (Burress); and his siblings, Sonny Maggard, Don Maggard, Betty Lefevers, Sue Joseph and Patsy Maggard.
He is survived by: his sister Barbara Compton of Honaker, Virginia; his nephew Mike (Valerie Burress) of Martin; his brother-in-law Finis (Judy Burress) of Union City; his pet Zoe; and his niece Penny Alexander. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
