He was predeceased by: his parents, William Edward Murphy, Sr. and Rosa Lee Callaway Murphy; and his siblings, William E. Murphy, Danny Murphy and Geraldine Gulsby.
He is survived by: his wife Elwanda Edwards of Union City; his sons, Anthony Joshua Murphy (Katie) and Daniel Edwards Murphy (Lindsay); and his grandchildren, Hallie Murphy, Brooklyn Murphy, Ailey Murphy and Elijah Edwards Murphy. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
