She was predeceased by: her parents, Arlie Earl and Lawanda Brown (Cole); her sons, James Earl Nelson and Rodney Wayne Nelson; her granddaughter Christy Nelson; and her siblings, Joyce Burpo, Arlana Brown and William Brown.
She is survived by: her husband James Nelson of Union City; her grandchildren, Kassy Nelson of Troy and Jacob Nelson of St. Charles, Missouri; her great grandchildren, Kaydence Mayfield of Troy, Lily Mayfield of Troy and Noah Yates of St. Peters, Missouri; and her pet Bella Rose Nelson.
