He was predeceased by: his parents, Andrew Thompson and Nettie Thompson; and his wife Joyce Elliott. He is survived by: his daughter Penny; his son-in-law Mike Holman; his son Buddy; his daughter-in-law Tena Thompson; and his son Eddie Thompson of Union City. He is also survived by his 7 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren, he was simply Papaw.
