Sherry Lynn Gilmore Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Sherry Lynn Gilmore of Vanleer, Tennessee, born in Detroit, Michigan, who passed away on July 20, 2025 at the age of 60. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Freeman Mitchell Gilmore and Margie Marie Vandygriffe Gilmore; and her brother Lane Schmittou. She is survived by: her husband Gilbert "Gil" Spangle; her siblings, Cindy Gilmore Parish, Roger "Bo" Schmittou (Betty) and Janice Sass; her sister-in-law Ginny Schmittou; and her siblings' children, Mark Schmittou (Melinda), Bobby Schmittou, Tony Schmittou, Jason Parish (Christa), Ashley Parish, Tina Simpson (Jerry), Jimmy Huff, Kelly Gegich (Mike), Kim Eberly, Robert Schmittou and Paul Ehause.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 at 2:00 PM and at 6:00 PM at the Taylor Funeral Home (214 N Main St, Dickson, TN 37055).
