With sadness, we share the passing of Carol Ann Hammontree of Vonore, Tennessee. Carol Ann, born on October 7, 1934, passed away on September 28, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred Hutton and Jessie Porter Hutton; her husband Billy John Hammontree; her brothers, Bob Hutton and Don; and her siblings-in-law, Shirley Hutton and Claude "Tubby" Hammontree.
She is survived by: her children, John Hammontree and Beth Hammontree King; her son-in-law Chad King; her grandchildren, Logan Tallent, Bailey Hammontree Gregory (Cody Gregory) and Jordan Saylor; and her sisters-in-law, Barbara Jean Hutton and Faye Houston. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews, and a host of friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Biereley-Hale Funeral Home (4650 US-411, Madisonville, TN 37354). A funeral service was held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 at 12:30 PM at the Oakland United Methodist Cemetery (234 Trigonia Rd, Greenback, TN 37742).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Niles Ferry Baptist Church.
