He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Magdalene Rines and John Patton Cockrum; and his sister Mary Jane Poling. He is survived by: his wife Lois Cassell Cockrum; his children, Jeff Cockrum (Pam) and Ginger Cockrum Meyers (Michael); his grandchildren, Sean, Ryan Cockrum, Megan Cockrum Stabasefski, Keith Stabasefski, Patrick, Henry, Veronica and Eleanor Meyers; and his great grandchildren, Ella and Knox Stabasafeski.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 7th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Fountain City Chapel (2829 Rennoc Rd, Knoxville, TN 37918). A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 7th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, November 8th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Greenwood Cemetery (3500 Tazewell Pike, Knoxville, TN 37918).
