He is survived by: his wife Barbara Headrick Whitehead; his children, Jeff Whitehead (Brandy), Greg Whitehead (Rachel) and Missy Murphy (William); his grandchildren, Grace Whitehead, Abby Whitehead, Audrey Wilson, Mary Beth Wilson, Katie Whitehead, Johanna Whitehead, Sunny Whitehead and Zeke Whitehead; and his great grandchildren, Aliza Whitehead, Nyla Bailey, Jagger Martin and Henry Wilson.
