With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Versa Mae Howard Branconnier of Walling, Tennessee, who passed away on July 20, 2025 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Homer Phillips and Ollie Smith Phillips; her husband Henry Horton Howard; her granddaughter Veronica Howard; and her siblings, Thelma Durham, Christine Hatcher, Artee, Richard, Paul Gene and Jim Phillips.
She is survived by: her children, Duane Howard (Lavanda) and Angela Ruback (Ron); her grandchildren, Dreama Howard, Troy Howard, Thomas Nash, Olivia Nash, Blayne Sems, Brandon Ruback and Tyler Ruback; her great grandchildren, Hannah Morton (Chris), Channing Nash and Blaize Darity-Reese; and her sisters, Mary Ann Dodson and Irene Parker.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 23rd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Hunter Funeral Home (120 Bockman Way, Sparta, TN 38583). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home (120 Bockman Way, Sparta, TN 38583).
