David Edward Stanton Obituary

We are sad to announce that on August 12, 2025, at the age of 85, David Edward Stanton of Waverly, Tennessee passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Stanton and Hellen Stanton; and his brother Arthur Stanton Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Bettye Stanton; his sons, Kris Stanton and Jeff Rumsey (Paula); his grandsons, Joshua Crum (Ashlie), Nathan Crum (Alley) and Ben Rumsey; his great grandchild Montgomery Crum; his sister Jan Schloz (late Mike); and his sisters-in-law, Linda Goodman (Joe) and Ann Pollock (Ken).

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Wheaties Kids Program at the Waverly Elks Lodge.
