He was predeceased by : his parents, William Nathan Brown and Mattie Lee Hallman Brown; his siblings, William Thomas Brown, Landis Owen Brown, Raymond Edgar Brown, James Wesley Brown, Robert Earl Brown, Geneva Lee Brown Wilson, Francis Brown Smith and Rena Odell Brown Bravo; his great grandchild Bruce Douglas Duncan IV; and his son-in-law Robert Scott Kilburn.

He is survived by : his wife Deanie Mercer Brown; his children, David Wayne Brown (Tonia), Dennis Wade Brown (Candace) and Tracy LouAnn Brown Kilburn; his grandchildren, Rachel Elizabeth Matthews, Rebecca Denise Matthews Keel (Scott), Cody Wayne Brown (Leah), Shae Brown (Bruce) and David Slayden Brown (Kayla); and his great grandchildren, Marley Elizabeth Bissinger, Cameron Heath Costello, Hayden Riley Hanner, Greyson Zayne Hanner, Anna Sage Brown and Briley Wade Brown.

Visitation was held on Friday, April 12th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Humphreys County Funeral Home (217 E Main St, Waverly, TN 37185). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 12th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, April 12th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 2:45 PM at the Richlawn Cemetery (2400 TN-13, Waverly, TN 37185).
