She was predeceased by: her parents, Eureta Elizabeth Smith Johnson and Henry Martin Johnson; and her husband Jimmie Lee Best. She is survived by: her children, Laura Lee Richardson, Marie A. Shafer (James) of Lincoln, NE and Jim Best, Jr. (Lisa) of Clarksville, TN; her grandchildren, Sarah, Richard, Jacob, Breanna and Elizabeth; her great grandchild Everly; and her siblings, Retha Jane Johnson of Erin, TN, Jerry D. Johnson (Glenda) of Dickson, TN., Robert M. Johnson, James H. Johnson, Martin "Dee" Johnson, Sue Kimball and Mary K. Buck.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, June 2nd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Curtis Chapel Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family has asked that donations be made to your local animal shelter or Humane Society in honor of Mrs. Ruth's life.
