He was predeceased by: his wife Barbara Ann Sutton Copous; his parents, Ed Copous and Vada Daniel Copous; and his siblings, Evelyn Holt, Warren Copous, Bonnie Diviney, Tommy Copous, Earl Copous and Ronald Copous.
He is survived by: his children, Kim Morgan (Tim) of Sheffield, AL and Billy J. Copous Jr. (Rhonda) of Nashville, TN; his grandsons, Ross Morgan (Meredith) and Reed Morgan (Christen); and his great grandchildren, Caroline, Emily, Avery, Paige and Evan Morgan.
