It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Billy Dingus (Waynesboro, Tennessee), who passed away on September 19, 2025, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. As we bid Billy farewell, let us not mourn the absence of his physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of his spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Billy is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Dingus and Arkie Bell Clark Dingus. He is survived by: his siblings, Willie Dingus, Barbara Craiger (Glen) of Hazelwood, AL and Juanita Thacker (Pete); his sister-in-law Joann Dingus; his wife Frances Dingus; his son Michael Dingus; and his siblings, Anna Ruth, Louise and Charles Dingus. He is also survived by his family, including two grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, multiple nieces and nephews.
