He was predeceased by : his parents, Vogel G Ray and Willie Gordon Ray; and his brother Billy Ray. He is survived by : his children, April Templeton of Clifton, TN and Jeffery Ray (Elsie) of Clifton, TN; his sister Reba Skelton (Roy) of Waynesboro, TN; his grandchildren, Heather Crowe, Ashley Ray, Austen Ray, Macey Warren, Christopher Burney, Hannah Ray and Dylan Sherrill; and his great grandchildren, Sammy, Sandra, Raylyn, Braxton, Braylee and Lucas.
